A Tiger is Getting Married
(Korean idiom used to describe simultaneously sunny and rainy weather)
Some were invited; you are
to imagine:
a tiger's wedding—which it was,
you were involved—
is the rain alone and sun,
alone to be imagined.
Alone as pure. Rain, the veil
to a round glowing face
and all the attending faces below.
Oh the streaming,
every color a lace before the eyes.
Carry that train!
But it slips between the fingers,
diamonds.
No groom in sight,
which reminds me the clouds
kindly fled. To not go blind,
so close at the kiss,
there was no kiss at the tiger's wedding,
(some were diamonds,
others pelted)
which is the rain alone and sun.
No one cried, no one forgotten,
imagine that—
a tiger's wedding involving the whole,
stripped and pure,
and you, a singular absence.
Only water flashes against the sun's eyes like a veil.

(Expressão em coreano usada para descrever o tempo ensolarado e chuvoso*)
Alguns foram convidados; você a
imaginar:
um casamento de tigre—que era,
você estava envolvida—
é só a chuva e o sol,
só para ser imaginada.
Tão só como pura. Chuva, o véu
para uma face radiante e redonda
e todas as faces presentes embaixo.
Oh a correnteza,
cada cor uma renda diante dos olhos.
Carregue aquele trem!
Mas ele escorrega entre os dedos,
diamantes.
Nenhum noivo em vista,
o que me lembra das nuvens
amavelmente em fuga. Não cegar,
tão perto do beijo,
não houve beijo no casamento do tigre,
(alguns eram diamantes,
outros bombardearam)
que é só a chuva e o sol.
Ninguém gritou, ninguém esqueceu,
imagine aquilo—
um casamento de tigre envolvendo o todo,
despojado e puro,
e você, uma ausência singular.
Apenas lampejos de água contra os olhos do sol como um véu.
* O mesmo que "casamento da viúva" no Brasil
